Notes: The verb asazaff, attested in the Catholicon (1499)is usually glossed with French s'asseoir 'to sit down'. Intransitive 'to sit' can be found in "hag e asez a-n tu dechou da doue an tad" 'and he sits on the right side of God the father' (Stokes ed.: Middle Breton Hours p. 6). Triggered by translation? There is no verb 'to stand' either.
