Notes: As in French, there is no verb 'to stand' in Breton. IN Middle Breton the concept is expressed by light-verb constructions, combining the verbs bezaff 'to be',seuell 'to rise up' or lesell 'to leave' with the noun phrase en e (he etc.) sav, eus e sav 'in his/her standing'.
