Lexeme: dyāē

Language:
Kurdish S.: Elami
Meaning:
come
Cognate Set:
*h₁ei̯- [Proto-Indo-European]
Romanised orthography:
dyāē
Phonemic:
djɒeː
Notes: The forms given here are simple present, not progressive present (which would add dērē, and sometimes a dı- prefix, before the verb). The final vowels in all such forms are unstressed and non-syllabic. The initial d- is found in the basic present form for this verb (cf. its use on other verbs to mark progressive aspect explicitly). A form yāē is attested in other varieties, however. The present form of this verb (and many other vowel-final present verbs) can also end in a postvocalic g.
